Juvenile Drug Court Operational Tune-Up

This two-day subject-matter training program assists juvenile drug court teams the latest drug court research and best practice techniques.

You must have a minimum of three drug court teams participate. There is a maximum of five drug court teams.

The comprehensive training covers a wide range of topics including:

  • Assessing the current practices within your Juvenile Drug Court
  • The scientific research about drug court practices to facilitate the revision and/or addition of policies and practices relating to incentives & sanctions, target population, supervision, treatment practices, and, legal restrictions
  • Best practices that have been established by successful Drug Court programs

Who Should Attend?
This workshop is designed for juvenile drug court teams. Because the workshop is highly interactive and focuses on group decision-making and consensus, the training experience will be enhanced by the attendance of as many team members as possible. NDCI requires, at a minimum, the following attend due to their day-to-day interactions with juvenile drug court clients:

  • Judge
  • Prosecutor
  • Coordinator
  • Treatment provider
  • Defense attorney
  • Law enforcement officer
  • Probation officer

Without these core team members it is unlikely that your team will be accepted.

Jurisdictions must provide a training space at no cost to NDCI.
